About us

Our kennels are situated in Zoutleeuw, a city with a rich history in the east of the province Vlaams-Brabant in Belgium. The surroundings of our kennels are just perfect for the dogs: large grasslands and fields to run and play.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The kennel "Hearts Run Free" is owned by Struys Tom and Jacobs Evi.
Tom is Master in BioMedical Sciences and is working as Assistent Histology in the departement of Medical Basic Sciences at the University of Hasselt in Diepenbeek, Belgium. With this background, we are able to keep the dogs in an optimal condition and the breeding program is well considered to produce very high quality offspring.
Evi is Accountant and in lead of her own company called "Multipaint" , specialised in industrial painting. Because of her flexible working schedule, we are able to raise the puppies indoor, so they can fully develop in a stimulating area and get used to all daily activities in a household.
I,Tom myself and Evi took a 2-year course of dog breeding, given by experts in the field. So since august 2005 we are certified as professional dog breeders. With this knowledge we will try to add our part to improve the breed in general. Our aim is to represent a kennel where quality comes before quantity and in this way our breeding program will be focused on health, character and beauty.
Last but not least, we would like to mention the cooperation with the kennel "Eyes of the World" owned by Paul and Nid Schevenels-Phengdis. This kennel is world famous for breeding Border Collies based on the Beagold line.
By this way we would like to express our respect and many, many thanks to Paul and Nid for giving us priceless advice and a wonderful friendship.
